Star-Crossed Myth: Reactions to Other Routes- Day Five (Otome Game)

So for our last day of Star-Crossed Week, we've decided to put together a post containing our reactions to other routes that we haven't gone in depth on, but we think deserve to be discussed!

On another note, we're exhausted and ready to sleep for a very long time. Meghan's Internet went down halfway through working through these reviews, and we had to resort to old-school methods of calling, on an actual phone, to do this part of the review, and Leon's route.

Meghan: I want to explain how hard it is to do a joint review when you can't even Skype the person you're doing it with. Am I too addicted to technology? Yeah probably.

Also, my wallet is crying:

Mostly because I spend my money on otome. No regrets!  Sorry, Olga does but I don't!

That being said, here are our initial reactions to the other routes we haven't mentioned in Star-Crossed Myth:

-ICHTHYS- Wonderful route! Ichthys is just plain adorable and such a cinnamon roll (to Meghan). I didn’t stop smiling or laughing when I played his route, for a prankster, he has one of the most innocent and enjoyable routes I’ve ever had the privilege to read. Note: may have teared up a bit at his “blessed” ending (4.3 Stars).
Olga thinks Ichthys is a potential rapist. Considering how Story 1 ended.

-HUEDHAUT- Also really good. Got some sarcasm, this one, but the story is already good and really enjoying it. This route is gonna answer the biggest question about the MC’s background that we had playing throughout the route. This is a 4.5-star route! NOTE: I would save this particular route until the end of all the others (for details you can find out yourself).

-TEORUS- Hmm what to say about Teorus? This is an interesting route, and his character, a tormented one. Unfortunately, while a good route, it seemed to quickly done, and the rising action of the story not explored enough. His character is the saving grace of the story, and he still is a cinnamon bun to us. 3.7 Stars.

-AIGONORUS- We decided to try one route from the second round of gods, like Zyglavis. Aigonorus is a cinnamon roll in every aspect of the word, but it's too bad his story wasn't fleshed out enough. There's not really anything to note here that makes it as "noteworthy" as say, Huedhaut's or Leon's. But he is an adorable character. 3.0 Stars

-HUEDHAUT's SEQUEL: Meghan played Hue's sequel. Also very good, if not a bit repetitive to his main story. None the less would still recommend because Hue's entire route breaks hearts and has many feels! 4.5 stars

-LEON’S SEQUEL: Holy shit...if there’s one route with a 5-star rating, this is it. The sequel made us me have feelings (Olga: if feelings of anger and loss of dignity count, then I guess me too). It was powerful, well-written, and at first, we didn’t understand why certain things were being droned on, but it comes full-circle and does not disappoint. READ THIS IF NOTHING ELSE (5 Stars).
Olga: please don't read this. Don't read any of them. Live your life. Be productive. Go outside. It's too late for me, waaaayyy too late for Meghan, but not too late for you.
Meghan: Remember these lines when you make me review something I'm going to hate ;)

-ZYGLAVIS' SEQUEL: Meghan: I know I harp on Zyglavis being cut short as a route that had numerous potential. Having said that, I think some of that potential comes through in Zyglavis' sequel route, specifically in HIS character development. One thing this sequel does force him to do is really consider what's important in his life: law or love, and how he wants to go forth with his relationship with the Stupid Woman. For that reason, it's good. Gets a solid 4-star rating.

-TAUXOLOUVE'S MAIN STORY: Meghan: Why does my horoscope sign have to sound like the creepy uncle of the gang? (Olga: Maybe cause you are the creepy uncle :-p ) Thank god "Lou" or Tauxolouve is not that creepy uncle, but he is an artist!  Yay! Sagittariuses are the best artists btw. And dude's got a bow and arrow, which is my favorite weapon of choice. Now, this gets really interesting, I'm happy to say like we explore some deep-rooted shit and get more into the lore that is this world of gods and goddesses. Taux finishes strong with a 4-Star rating.

-LEON'S SEQUEL EPILOGUE: Yes, this was played out of order, but the sequel epilogue for Leon was cute and nice to read. 4 Stars.

-SCORPIO'S SEQUEL STORY: The King is a dick. That is all. Sadness all around, but mostly the King being an asshole, and Scorpio occasionally being cute. (Olga: Scorpios are cute little beings. I would know) 3.8 Stars

-SCORPIO'S MUSINGS ON LOVE STORY: This one was cute in its own way. As per usual, Scorpio's whiplike attitude and remarks steal the show. Perfectly fine story. 3.5 Stars.

-ICHTHYS' SEQUEL EPILOGUE: This was just cuteness. (Meghan): I love Ichthys, he's the perfect combination of awesomeness in this app. 4.2 Stars.

This wasn't the exact CG for this one, but it's still nice!

-PARTHENO'S MAIN STORY: Bah, bah black sheep...have you any wool? Weeeelllll....what the hell? I think I called it though, I knew something was up with this one. He's twisted, it's interesting and we really won't spoil anything for this route, but it is the one route shit goes down. 3.5 Stars.

Found this while looking up images on Tumblr for this route- credit to Benichi.tumblr.com
I could not stop laughing at this one. But accurately enough, this is the route in a nutshell.

-DUI'S ROUTE: So Olga managed to play the first story of this... Dui seems like a perfectly nice fellow. But since he is a Gemini, obviously there's gonna be some Jekyll and Hyde situation occurring later. The nicest guys in the beginning always hide the most dark shit. I (Olga) could play it and find out, but I have better things to do.

I give this 2 Dui Dark Sides/1 Bowl of Goldfish. (Be creative in your interpretation of this)

-KRIOFF'S ROUTE: Olga also played the beginning of this. And this dude seems quite interesting! He doesn't talk much, is rude, which clearly indicates a dark past. And he is probably just a male version of Elsa, hiding those powers behind the gloves. And he referred to the MC as Woman #memoriesofscorpio.

I give this 3 International Clocks/5 Unanswered Questions

So that's it for Star-Crossed Week! Did you enjoy it? Let us know in the comments below!
